I thought I would show you some of my friends!
This is Buster. He is my Granny’s dog and he lives with her in Spain (a really sunny country). Buster is a Spanish Jack Russell so he is very similar to me. On this photo he is making a real fool of himself flaunting himself like that. And, I am not quite sure how he managed to wheedle his way in with my Dad like that. This was on a holiday when I wasn’t allowed to come and I had to stay with my friend Peggy. (I will try and get a photo of her) Last Christmas I was allowed to come so I met Buster then (some photos of us later). Buster is very charming and he has spots just like me! And he is even chubbier than me!
Here is Becky! She belongs to my Aunt Mariann. Becky is wonderful – just one of those really good eggs, you know. I really like playing with her. She has a tail like a big fan-thing. It’s sort of “swishing” and all silky. She is a real town-dog and she is scared of the country side. I tried to teach her that there is nothing to worry about but she didn’t believe me. I showed her how to dig a mole-hill but she was not interested. She’s just a little girl!
This is Lucy and Dudley – I was looking after them when their owners went on a holiday to England a short while ago. They were easy to look after but they really pined for their “Masters” so they were not much fun for me, although Dudley showed some signs of wanting to play now and then. They did try to have a play with each other a couple of times but I soon put a stop to that!
They spent a lot of time sitting in the flowerbed by the gate and eventually they fell asleep there so I could hi-jack their luxury baskets! Very good!
Here is another friend who came to stay – his name is Bud (think maybe after Budweiser beer) or maybe Buddy – he did seem like a vey nice “buddy” but he was a proper French hunting dog and he scared me a little bit so I did a bit of growling and snapping to hide the fact. I think it worked well. We gave him a really nice neckerchief as he was going for a holiday on the beach after he left here. He looked very smart. Another Party Pet!!
These guys were from Holland. They were only here for one night so I did not get much of a chance to get to meet them but they seemed very nice. The girl had a really interesting hair-do. She had like a little pony-tail on top of her head. Very attractive. I felt quite silly around her – maybe I fancied her a little bit. She did have her old boyfriend with her though – he was very old so I reckon I could have been in with a chance there if I had had a bit more time!! Rats! And the old boy had the nerve to nick my moses basket!
Oh, it is all fun here at LMV – all these dog guests. On Saturday I have 2 Poodle guests arriving. SO exciting! Will tell you more when they have arrived! Woof, woof!!
The poodles are here!! This is Joolchen. She is tiny! And very, very cute! She is a rescue dog and quite shy so we had to bribe her with goats cheese to get her to pose for the photo. At first I was not sure what she was – a dog? A large mouse? A curly-haired giant hamster? Even her bark is more like a shriek but I know now that she is a dog as she eats goats cheese. Phew!
Here is Flippy! I am very jealous of his ears – they are the nicest ears I have ever seen! So fluffy and curly and really long. I wish my ears were more like his. Flippy is very fun – we have been playing a bit which is unusual for me as mostly I try to ignore other dogs just so they know their place but I could not resist a little play with Flippy. He also has this really pink skin under the curly fur. Very interesting. Flippy and Joolchen goes on sightseeing trips every day. I wish we had more time for sightseeing! Apparently I have to wait until the autumn when I don’t have so many guests to greet!
Well, this is not exactly a “friend” as it is not a live thing but I thought I just show you my fish – nice, isn’t he? I just had my dinner and I like to have a bit of a session with some soft toy after!
See!! Too much sight-seeing! She is eggshausted!
This is Mika (I think that is how to spell it) He came to visit yesterday and he was…oh, so “manly”! Tall, handsome, beautiful blond fur, soulful eyes….I’m afraid I couldn’t help “pestering” him, that’s how lovely he was. He is a Galgo dog which was rescued from Spain and he is now very happy with his new family. He lives in Toulouse – I wonder if he gets any of that Toulouse sausage that I keep hearing about? Anyway, here on the picture, I think he laid down and pretended to sleep to get some peace from me…woof, woof!
Here is little Uma! She belongs to some very good friends of ours. Uma is almost blind and she cannot hear very well either and yet she is so very happy and nice. I have been known to be a bit grumpy with her. I can’t help it. I am just jealous of her ears. Why has everyone got lovely long, silky, curly ears apart form me?? Mine are just like little brown “stumps”! Grrrrrr……so I DO like Uma but I just feel a bit grumpy about the ears. Sorry Uma……
My friend Buster is coming to visit at the end of August. I think I am going to talk to him to see how he feels about his ears. He can be a bit snarly with other dogs aswell and maybe that is also and ear-thing? As we have the same kind of ears maybe we can have a bit of a chat about them? Good idea!
